VIP (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide)

Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide is a 28-amino acid neuropeptide with potent anti-inflammatory, immune-modulating, and neuroprotective properties. It is best known in the context of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) / mold illness, where it is the final step in the Shoemaker Protocol. VIP regulates innate immune responses, reduces pulmonary artery pressure, improves regulatory T-cell function, and normalizes inflammatory cytokines. It also supports gut barrier integrity and has vasodilatory effects.
