PNC-28
PNC-28 is a synthetic peptide derived from the p53 tumor suppressor protein (residues 17-26). It specifically targets the HDM2 binding site on cancer cells, triggering selective necrosis (cell death) in tumor cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed. In vitro studies have shown PNC-28 to be effective against pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, and other cancer cell lines. It represents a targeted approach to cancer therapy that exploits the universal overexpression of HDM2 in cancer cells.
